Hello to all. I've decided to see if there is any interest in a project I'm currently working on. A little history. I purchased a 1972 1800ES in 1972 with 20,000? miles, drove it until about 75,000 and parked it in the garage. Last year after finishing a big project I decided to put the 1800ES back on the street. Not being a purist, the original running gear was removed and stored. I couldn't bring myself to go to the trouble of working on this for a couple years to end up with a 120hp. And if I were to modify the original running gear, well then you get into the purist viewpoint. So if I'm going to make changes, I would like to think they are intended to make my 1800ES what it should have been to start with. So that being said, away I went. The 1800 has a new narrowed 8.8 31 spline 3.73 geared posi rear end. I kept the original suspension and brakes, front and rear, with some mods in front. Rear brakes are stock, front received new custom hubs with 12.2" vented rotors, and new caliper mounts. Front and rear suspensions needed changed to allow for new rubber in existing fenders. 235/45R17. yes they fit The transmission is a World Class T5, and the engine I picked is a 2006 Pontiac 3.8L V6 supercharged. The motor was a good choice for the physical size and power. I kept the original heater box, modified to allow for a heater core and AC evaporator so no under the dash AC unit. I'll post a couple pics as soon as I find out how. I'll state the obvious, I'm having trouble with this site, and that's my fault
